Focus on Orange' is part of a series of events celebrating some of the top case studies from 30 years of the IPA Effectiveness Awards; brilliant campaigns that still have much to teach us about planning effective communications today.

Kick-starting the evening will be a screening of the new IPA and Thinkbox short brand film - 'The FTSE's Bright the FTSE's Orange'. This event is your opportunity to hear first-hand from Robin Wight, President of Engine. Robin will tell the story which began 17 years ago when WCRS helped to transform the fortunes of the fledgling 'Hutchinson Microtel' into the multinational success story that is Orange today, creating a whole new style of advertising along the way. In 2004 WCRS took home a Gold from the IPA Effectiveness Awards, with a case history that still resonates today about the direct effect that advertising can have on shareholder value.

Laurence Green, Chairman of Fallon, Orange's current agency will bring the story up-to-date, looking at how the brand has evolved and its future, in what is now a vastly different telecommunications landscape. Discussing initiatives such as Orange Wednesday and Rockcorp; moving from 'The Futures Bright the Futures Orange' to 'Together we can do more'; and generally the diversification of the brand into new areas.

'Focus on Orange' takes place on Monday 6th September at the IPA, 44 Belgrave Square, London, SW1X 8QS. Drinks from 6pm. Short film premiere from 6.45pm. Panel discussion and Q&A from 7.00pm. Close 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £20+VAT for members, £40+VAT for non-members. Each which includes beer, wine and popcorn.
