On Monday 9th August, the IPA 44 Club brings you an exclusive evening with Patrick Collister, of Creative Matters and former Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy and Mather who will showcase and discuss the Best of Cannes 2010 - the top TV, press, outdoor, cyber, direct, promo, PR awards as well as the media gongs and integrated.
Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications attracting more than 22,500 entries from all over the world. A glimpse into the best work created globally will not only prove inspirational but also viewing the work across all mediums provide food for thought on issues such as:
Is the UK stuck in a communications silo which other countries are not?
What are the differences between cultures as expressed in their advertising?
What are the different regulatory needs of countries?
Should the internet be regulated?
This event will be a one stop shop whizz around the best creative work in the world and thought provoking on what makes a great creative campaign in this increasingly globalised world.
Patrick is the former ECD and Vice Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather; the former ECD of
EHS Brann and a non-exec director of Profero. He has a unique perspective on advertising from above the line, below the line and in the digital space. In 2003 Patrick founded Creative Matters, a training consultancy specializing in the creative perspective and on creativity with workshops for account managers, planners and creative people.
