Papers submitted to every IPA Effectiveness Award competition since 1980, including the former AREA and Scottish IPA Effectiveness Awards, have been compiled and indexed to form the IPA case study Databank. You can access the individual case studies, for information and for purchase, here.

Papers submitted to every IPA Effectiveness Award competition since 1980, including the former AREA and Scottish IPA Effectiveness Awards, have been compiled and indexed to form the IPA case study Databank. This tool is a a sophisticated relational database enabling multi-field searching, combining fields such as product category, media used and increases in market share, through to complex cross tabulations of qualitative and quantitative effectiveness measures.

You can also search and chart results from 30 years of effectiveness case studies by visiting the IPA Databank Online (IDOL).

All 1400 case studies have been digitally scanned and indexed by WARC, our official publisher, and also form part of the WARC database.

Before purchasing please be aware of the different prices for members, non members and students.

IPA members who want to subscribe to WARC can take advantage of a 10% discount on their annual WARC subscription . They can also download twelve free case studies from this website (only) a year. Additional downloads will then incur a charge of £25 per case study. If you want to see your agency download history please contact the IPA Information centre .

The individual case study price for non members (except students) is £40 per download. For students it is £10 per download. All purchasers will need to register as users on this website.

Case study summaries, brand films, and winners’ supplements are also available, free of charge, on www.ipaeffectivenessawards.co.uk   There is also the annually published  Advertising Works series which includes the winning cases from the year’s competition as well as additional chapters on latest industry trends from the most experienced people in adland.

The IPA dataBANK will continue to be added to and improved. This includes a major indexing programme for its content, including brief descriptions and keywords.
