Introduction
The IPA Information Centre provides an enquiry service for member agencies, normally providing research within 48 hours from the initial briefing. The content we provide can assist with competitive reviews, branding, company/people information and lifestyle news, as well researching all sorts of wonderful, weird and wacky facts that you never knew you wanted to know!

Requests can be briefed by email — info@ipa.co.uk or by telephone on 020 7235 7020 (please ask for the Information Centre). The office is normally open for telephone calls between 9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday.
The Service
A wide variety of resources are used to answer research briefs, including LexisNexis global news database*, online publications like Brand Republic, McKinsey and Adbrands. In addition to this our library features marketing and advertising books, media spend coverage, government statistic annuals, trade publications and other web tools.
* Member agencies are entitled to 5 free LexisNexis news database searches per month. Additional searches are charged at £50 each.
We also provide a wide range of material via this website, including Books of web links , Rankings and links to external Surveys . You can look at our FAQ page if you're unsure of any aspect of our service.
Case Studies
Papers submitted to the IPA Effectiveness Awards competitions since 1980 have been compiled and indexed to form the IPA case study Databank, a sophisticated database tool enabling multi-field searching, combining criteria such as product category, media used, increases in market share etc., through to complex cross-tabulations of qualitative and quantitative effectiveness measures.
Cases are now available for download from this site. You can go to the main holding page for these or see an alphabetical list at our A-Z Directory by choosing 'Content Type' and then selecting 'Case Studies.'
Members can download up to 12 IPA Effectiveness Awards case studies per year for free. Additional case studies can be purchased at £25 each.
You can also search and chart results from 30 years of effectiveness case studies by visiting the IPA Databank Online (IDOL).
We are currently working on a major indexing programme for this content, including brief descriptions and keywords; this material is being updated continually.

Collections of the winning papers are also available from this site, including the renowned Advertising Works series of books.
Market Research
We can download market research reports for members through our agreement with MarketResearch.com Profound. Our market research service service enables us to download tables, sections or entire market research reports for members. We charge at cost plus an additional 10% search fee.
Tenders
The IPA Information Centre runs a free service to UK and European tenders for business. The tenders are published every day from Tuesday to Saturday by the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and we retrieve tenders that may be relevant to our member agencies. There can be a period of 8-12 days between a tender being released and it being officially published, and the date of official publication is always at least one month before the closing date of applications. These tenders are posted on the IPA web site every day, normally by 1pm. Please view Tenders by clicking here. If you wish to receive our daily Tenders alert, please go to your 'Account Details' then select 'My Subscriptions and Alerts' and click the Tenders box. We'll then send you an alert each day when the tenders have been loaded.
