What was the best TV, press, digital, poster, integrated work from the past year? Did you love or hate the Marmite press work; raise your eyebrows ‘at’ or ‘with’ the kids in the Cadbury’s commercial, shout ‘go on lad’ to the boy with the loaf of Hovis tucked under his arm, or become facebook friends with a certain meerkat?
UK agencies picked up their fair haul of pencils, arrows, lions and gongs at the major award shows, but internationally the United States Drogba5 stormed the stage for ‘The Great Schlep’, Australia's CumminsNitro achieved worldwide recognition for their “Best Job in the World” and a host of other nations picked up awards at the major shows.
At the IPA on Monday 30th November, Kate Stanners, 2009 Cannes Gold Lion Winner (for ‘Dance’ for T-Mobile) will give an end-of-year wrap-up on what she thinks was the most creative work of 2009, drawn from the Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Shows, Campaign Big, BTAA and others.
Kate began her career as an art director at GGT in the mid 1980’s, under the creative directorship of David Trott. Six years later, Kate joined Bates Dorland as group head. In 1995, Kate was the first to join the fledgling St Luke’s as a Creative Director. In two years she built up prolific new business growth, helping the agency to be named Campaign’s Agency of the Year, and later became Executive Creative Director and Vice Chairman.
Kate then co-founded BoymeetsGirl. As Executive Creative Director, she formed a multi-skilled creative-floor, including design, digital, promotional and direct.
In January 2005, Kate joined Saatchi & Saatchi UK as Executive Creative Director and was made Creative Partner in 2007. She is a member of WACL and the RSA, and sits on the IPA Council as the Chairman of the IPA Creative Forum.
The event is taking place on Monday 30th November at the IPA. 6pm for drinks, 6.30pm for the presentation. Tickets cost £25 + VAT for members or £50 + VAT for non-members.
