30/09/2009ARCHIVEDStrategy Group "Game Changers" conference

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

Every once in a while a number of people emerge and change the game within society. They move beyond what is established and regarded as ‘the norm’ and create something new and different. They are the game changers. They don’t play by the rules, they create the rules, the game and everything around it. They have appeared in fashion (Westwood), in sport (Muhammad Ali), in business (Branson) and in society (Geldof).

We want to start to answer the question — “What makes a game changer?”

What are the characteristics, strategies and behaviours of a game changer? What are the lessons we can take away from them and implement in our own working, or even personal, lives? How can they help to inspire us to think differently about solving problems? They are the innovators, rule breakers and dreamers who have made things happen and brought about change.

The IPA Strategy Group and News International will be giving a forum to some of those people breaking through in art, technology, business and non-profit organisations. With so much change ‘in the air’ we feel now is the right time to celebrate those committed to making a difference.

Our exciting line up of speakers includes:

Anne McCrossan from Child's i. Winner of the 2009 Vodafone Make a Difference Award, The Child’s i Foundation is a new breed of philanthropic organisation with an unorthodox approach to marketing, advertising and audience involvement.
