hereRemit:The IPA Strategy Group represents and works primarily for those in strategy and account planning. Its remit is to develop and champion best practice in strategic thinking, liaise with other IPA Groups when there is a common interest, and to form alliances with appropriate external bodies with whom joint ventures or projects can be developed.
Meetings:Meetings are roughly every 4 weeks on Wednesday mornings at 8:30am. Typically meetings are held at the IPA. The meetings for this year are:

Recent achievements:• On 4th August, the Group held an event entitled: "Who makes better planners? Planners or Creatives?" The speakers were Dave Trott (Chick Smith Trott) and David Golding (Adam and Eve).
• The Group repeated its successful "Fast Strategy" conference on 1st October.
• The Group ran an interactive event on 10th November on ‘How the other half plan’, at which 10 planners from different disciplines presented for 15 minutes on what makes planning different in their particular fields.
Future activity:• 'Game Changers: Strategy - Creativity - Technology': an evening event at Adam Street Members' Club on Wednesday May 13th, celebrating game changers — those people behind the big, brave leaps in strategic thinking, who have done things differently and triumphed.
• 'Next Generation Thinking': Fresh new thinking on everything from marketing to politics from a new generation of strategic thinkers. Come and find out what the next generation are thinking in an event that aims to challenge everything you believe.
Every quarter, all the IPA's Committees report to
