At the debate, Dave Trott will put forward the motion that it is time that planners started planning again.
Says Trott, “Planners should be identifying the client’s business problem and working out who to talk to, and what to say in order to solve it. They should be using the advertising to sell, instead of using it to provide a window on a brand’s soul and to build the brand’s ‘equity’ in people’s minds.”
David Golding however will be vehemently defending the discipline.
