The IPA has run this TV Production course for over 30 years, during which time it has become recognised within the industry as a valuable and important part of a producer's training.
The course requires potential delegates who must have at least 18 months’ experience as a production assistant or junior producer to submit an application form which is assessed by the course Chair to determine their eligibility to participate.
The IPA TV Production Knowledge course is a 13-week intensive programme of weekly evening sessions held at the IPA and other London locations and a 3 day residential including 2 nights’ accommodation in a London hotel, taking delegates through the entire TV Production process. During the course, delegates are required to complete individual coursework, group work and an offline exam. This results in them being awarded the IPA Diploma in TV Production Knowledge.
