How Brands Grow: How scientific discoveries are changing marketing within the world's leading companies.
The IPA is delighted to be able to bring you an exclusive evening with Professor Byron Sharp, author of “How Brands Grow: what marketers don’t know” (Oxford University Press, 2010 RRP £22.50) and IPA President, Rory Sutherland, on Tuesday 18th January 2011.
According to Joseph Tripodi, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer, The Coca-Cola Company “All marketers need to read this book...or be left hopelessly behind.”
And Rory Sutherland, IPA President simply states “The book is tremendous. Really wonderful.”
On Tuesday 18th January 2011, Sharp will present "How Brands Grow" which draws on years of research and marketing knowledge to answer important questions, and dispel common misconceptions about brand growth, competition, loyalty, advertising and price promotions, all of these findings have been tried and tested, and found to hold over varied conditions, time and countries.
Sharp is the Director of the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science at the University of South Australia, where he leads a team of marketing scientists to discover and disseminate scientific marketing knowledge to explain and predict buyer behaviour and brand performance. The Institute’s fundamental research is used and financially supported by many of the world’s leading corporations including Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s, British Airways, Procter & Gamble, Nielsen, Kantar Worldpanel, Turner Broadcasting, Network Ten and many others.
