To achieve Gold CPD Accreditation agencies are required to write a paper which demonstrates the business success of their CPD programme. Their submissions will outline how they have not only met the full criteria for Continuous Professional Development accreditation (inductions, appraisals, training objectives and CPD diaries) but that they have exceeded regular practice. Full details can be found
here.
In a gold accredited agency there will be a holistic approach to people development and a thorough commitment to learning which, in the opinion of the judging panel, has been thoroughly demonstrated in the company’s submission. Regardless of the size of available budget, these companies will show creativity in building a vibrant learning culture, in support of real business objectives. Importantly, the agency will have shown clear evidence that CPD practice is not merely an add-on to operations but lies at the heart of business, to fuel commercial success.
Says Angus Maciver: “The effort going into innovative and cost effective professional development among IPA members is truly impressive and is paying dividends in better client retention, wins and lower attrition and I’m sure those trends will continue if this sort of effort is kept up. This year we have continued to see inspired advances being made to provide the highest level of training.”
Says Patrick Mills, Director of Professional Development, IPA: “This year we have again had extremely strong entries for the IPA CPD Gold accreditation and I want to congratulate these agencies for continuing to inspire practitioners and setting high standards of learning, development and best practice in our industry. The continual investment in professional development among IPA member agencies is inspiring not only for the development and retention of talent, but also in terms of agency profitability and growth. I would like to thank Angus and the panel for their meticulous evaluation and considerate approach to judging.”
