The IPA will be demonstrating its much awaited second TouchPoints database, the Integrated Planning System, to the planning fraternity at an invitation-only briefing session this Thursday 5th October 2006. This completes all the elements of the first TouchPoints Initiative.
The Integrated Planning System will be delivered to subscribers through the recognized industry software bureaux ie. Telmar, IMS and KMR.
The Integrated Planning System is the result of integrating the industry media research currencies onto the bespoke IPA TouchPoints Hub Survey (a time-based, multi-media, consumer centric Hub Survey published on the 23rd March) to produce the first, industry available, consumer centric planning system.
Lynne Robinson, IPA Research Director, said: “This second database brings together all the major communication channels, both traditional and new, to provide the first multi-media planning tool available to the whole industry market. This is the tool the industry said that it wanted , we expect that it will have a significant impact on communication channel planning in the future. Once this is launched, we will be putting our second Hub Survey into the field for publishing in 2007.”
Attendance to the briefing is by invitation only.

Note to editors:
The IPA TouchPoints Survey is a major initiative from the IPA which aims to provide the industry with a major new strategic planning survey and tool, and fills the gap between the proprietary tools that exist and the individual media training currencies. It is designed to function early in the strategic planning process ahead of specialist implementation and is relevant to all agencies and a wide spread of non-agency industry interests.
