New IPA viral seeks purrfect ad campaigns

The IPA has this week released a viral, ‘Jimmy’s Lost Cat’, to encourage agencies who have produced remarkable campaigns on small budgets to enter the 2011 IPA Effectiveness Awards.

The viral, produced by DLKWLowe, features seven-year-old Jimmy Jones who has lost his cat. Armed with his week’s pocket money, he goes in search of an ad agency to help him in his hunt.

Unfortunately his first port of call is ‘Smoothie’, an overtly clichéd agency whose ‘360’ solution is to rename the cat Cheryl Cole, and to use helium balloons, flashmobs and a ‘cat rap’ to find it.
