CPD - Timeline

The IPA offers a year-round programme to support CPD activity in agencies. Use the timeline below to keep on track of the key dates in the annual calendar.

One of the most prestigious events is the presentation of the Gold Accredited agencies (pictured right), which takes place during the IPA Members' Lunch.


 What happens with CPD


  • Submit for CPD Accreditation by 31st January
  • If you have been told that you are getting a CPD Progress Review, your assessor will be in touch to fix a date
  • If going for Gold Accreditation, complete Gold submission by 31st January
  • The CPD Gold panel meets to discuss the Gold standard



Feb/Early March     

  • CPD Progress Reviews (for third of membership)
  • IPA Training Forum meets




  • Members notified that they have achieved standard accreditation by end of  March
  • Those who have submitted for Gold are told if they have been successful – by end of March
  • Those Gold agencies who have achieved Platinum status are told




  • All agencies are asked to submit forward Strategic Development Plans
  • President’s Lunch – Gold agencies’ presentation
  • IPA Training Forum




  • Platinum awards
  • Best Practice in CPD workshops
  • Gold Workshops
  • IPA Training Forum
  • The CPD team runs health checks (CPD Managers can request these)




  • Best Practice in CPD workshops
  • Gold Workshops
  • IPA Training Forum




  • All agencies receive reminder of upcoming CPD Submission period




  • IPA Training Forum Christmas Lunch
  • Agencies advised on Gold criteria and offered Gold mentoring
  • Agencies advised if they will have a CPD Progress Review
