David joined the IPA in May 2003 as Consultant Head of Direct Marketing. He is responsible for the delivery of services to IPA direct marketing members. He was previously Chairman of the Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) and has worked on both the client and agency side of the business. Client experience covers Heinz, Bovril and United Biscuits and he was co-founder of Payne Stracey (now part of Tequila). On the agency side he has worked for Wunderman Cato Johnson, O&M, French Gold Abbott, and Bozell (USA).
