The Police Federation: The Opposition to Sheehy - IPA Effectiveness Awards Case Study 1994

Brief Description: An integrated PR and lobbying campaign funded by the Police Federation to persuade the Home Secretary not to implement recommendations made in the Sheehy Report. 4 national press advertisements were used, in 4 distinct campaign 'phases'. Results: The Home Secretary eventually altered or rejected a number of the Sheehy proposals.
