The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), responsible for regulating data protection in the UK, has published an overview of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The overview looks at some of the core themes of the GDPR, setting out short explanations of the obligations for data processors and controllers under the new law.
View the overview here.
The ICO has also published a new blog post, emphasising that it will continue to produce guidance around the GDPR as the new data protection framework will still be relevant for many organisations in the UK (as suggested in my IPA Legal Alert of 24 June).
