With talent our most valuable asset, we need to make sure that we nurture and develop it. This is not just the role of our talent teams and HR depts, every person who leads a team in an agency is responsible for the success and growth of it, this is how our businesses will succeed- as Liz Wilson, course chair, describes in her blog.
The Team Leadership & Management course is for people with 3 – 6 years experience in the industry, who are responsible for managing teams and their client’s business. It will help them learn how to lead themselves and the people who work into and around them in order to build a happier and more productive team.
The first half of the day will be run by renowned coach Alison Chadwick and will focus on leading yourself and others, the rest of the day will be lead by Liz Wilson and a group of industry luminaries such as key note speaker, Jim Carroll, former UK Chairman, BBH. Jim will be talking about Leadership and the Amplified Self which collates a series of observations he made from his time in leadership at BBH.
The rest of the sessions will include:
What it takes to be a great leader
Leading a more effective team
Getting round the complexity of multi-functional and multi-agency teams
A panel session with inspirational industry leaders on what they wish they’d known when they started in the industry
Finally there will be a marked assignment, which if delegates pass will give them a MIPA * (please click here for more details).
