The breakneck speed of China’s digital revolution empowers its consumers to leapfrog their peers elsewhere and to lead the transformations digitalization enables. In a truly momentous coincidence, the concurrent emergence of capitalism in China is making this market a ‘natural experiment’ of brand building that starts digitally. As true digital natives Chinese brands have developed certain principles that all can inspire and help Western companies to future-proof their businesses.
