100+ advertising and digital apprentices available via 2015 CPC
The opportunities are available in Bristol and the South West, Birmingham, London and Manchester, Newcastle and the North East and are posted on www.creativepioneers.co.uk. The website also provides insights into what it’s like to work in the industry, advice for teachers and parents, experiences from previous apprentices, and profiles of the agency employers. In addition, it shows the range of roles available using the ‘which brain are you’ (plan, create or do) concept, which helps future apprentices identify what types of roles they would be good at.
Says Janet Hull OBE, Founder and Executive Director Creative Pioneers and IPA Director of Marketing Strategy, “Our Creative Pioneers community goes from strength to strength and this new portal provides an easy shop window for schools and parents, seeking reassurance about creative apprenticeships as a positive career choice.”
To promote the 2015 programme, launched during National Apprenticeship Week, the IPA hosted an event on Tuesday night (10 March 2015) in partnership with UK Music. The event featured speeches from Munira Mirza, Deputy Mayor for Education and Culture, GLA, as well as from previous Creative Pioneer apprentices and employers from Universal Music and Dentsu, the IPA, UK Music and Metro.
It is also hosting events in Bristol and Bath on Thursday 12 March and Newcastle on Friday 13 March, having visited Manchester on Monday 9 March and Birmingham on Wednesday 11 March.
It will also be hosting a session on ‘The Future of Talent: see the industry through the eyes of Creative Pioneers’, during Advertising Week Europe from 4.00pm – 4.50pm on Monday 23rd March at Newsroom Studio, 197 Piccadilly, London, W1J 9LN. Speakers will include Ellie Bissett, Account Executive, Proximity London; Ngoni Gudo, Project Manager, Wunderman; and Christiana Kalu, Strategist, FCB Inferno, who will discuss what they think of the industry now that they’re a part of it, how they see their careers developing and what would they do differently.
The Metro also ran a four-page cover-wrap in Tuesday's edition.
