Advertising Week Europe is coming back next month

Following the success of the inaugural Advertising Week Europe, The Week will return to London in 2014; 31st March – 4th April.

07/02/2014

Advertising Week Europe is a week-long celebration of inspiration. The Week is grounded in thought leadership uniting a broad cross-section of industry leaders from the client, creative and media community with the world of popular culture. The 2014 site, http://advertisingweek.eu/, is now live and early registration is open.

The IPA will again be providing extensive support across the week and will be hosting an area for agencies during this time in the basement at Purple Door - a theatre style venue next to the Google Lounge. IPA Director General Paul Bainsfair will be acting as compere. For the second year running a portion of the proceeds generated will go towards supporting the IPA’s Creative Pioneers programme.

As part of the Creative Pioneers Challenge, the IPA will host a ‘CountDown’ event on Monday 31st March 5pm-8pm with a final call for entries on what will be the last day for applications. Supported by Metro, the event will take the form of an Open House where school leavers can get to know more about the scheme, meet with the agencies, hear their elevator pitches, and if they haven't yet entered, get help to upload their video applications at the Metro photo booths.

In addition, Metro will be hosting an ‘Inspiration Series’ for 15 minutes each day where newcomers to the business will quiz top gurus. Creative businesses taking part in the 2014 Challenge will also be available to offer one-to-one chats about potential opportunities, and training providers will be on hand to offer CV advice and interview tips.

Discount delegate registration

The IPA can offer its members a 30% discount - tickets can be purchased for £229.

Matt Scheckner, Advertising Week Europe Executive Director: “Having just completed our tenth anniversary in New York City, all eyes are now focused on our second voyage across the Atlantic and elevating our game once again to deliver for London and the broader European community.”

Paul Bainsfair, IPA Director General: “The IPA is once again looking forward to playing a part in bringing Advertising Week alive in London. This unique event will see talent, expertise, and thought leadership come together, the best and brightest from around Europe. We once again actively encourage our members to take full advantage of all this has to offer, and it could form a major part of any agency’s annual CPD requirements.

We are also very grateful to the organisers for their support with our Creative Pioneers Challenge – their allocation of a bursary fund to this initiative as well as Matt Scheckner’s appointment as one of our patrons will be invaluable.”

About Advertising Week Europe

The inaugural Advertising Week Europe was held in London in March 2013, bringing together the industry’s leading creative minds for a week-long celebration of talent and thought leadership. The Week is a hybrid of inspiring thought leadership featuring the world’s best and brightest with engaging special events that galvanise targeted constituencies. Advertising Week Europe draws from the client, media and broader cultural communities with a laser focus on key business drivers, which shape and influence the global industry. Advertising Week Europe was launched because of the overwhelming success of Advertising Week, New York, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in September 2013. The Week is produced by Stillwell Partners. Advertising Week will be returning to New York City for Advertising Week XI in September 2014.
