Can Chinese brands conquer the world?

A delegation of over 40 UK ad agencies and production companies, with the backing of the UK government, will be arriving in Beijing on the 28th April to host a two-day Beijing London Advertising Forum, as part of the IPA’s Creative Britain initiative, to explain why the UK is a gateway for Chinese expansion globally, and why China is such a key market.

A delegation of over 40 UK ad agencies and production companies, with the backing of the UK government, will be arriving in Beijing on the 28th April to host a two-day Beijing London Advertising Forum, as part of the IPA’s Creative Britain initiative, to explain why the UK is a gateway for Chinese expansion globally, and why China is such a key market. 23red, BBH, JWT, M&C Saatchi and Profero are among those participating, all of whom have satellite offices in China. Smoke and Mirrors, Moxie Pictures, Annex and Partizan are just some of the production companies taking part.

Says Janet Hull, Consultant Head of Marketing and Reputation Management, IPA, “As Chinese companies and brands look beyond China the UK ad industry should be their first port of call. We want China to realise that the UK can be a springboard to the world, as part of our Creative Britain agenda. At a time of high growth for the Chinese economy we are delighted to be in the position to discuss Chinese brand opportunities with advertisers and agencies in Beijing.”

How to create advertising that works in every market, what makes China special, how can the UK and China work together, taking a brand global, how did the Beijing Olympics work for advertisers and agencies, are just some of the topics being discussed. The Beijing London Advertising Forum, jointly organised by the IPA and APA, will bring together Chinese and UK brand owners, advertising agencies and production companies, providing an opportunity to create international partnerships in the areas of branding, advertising, export marketing and business growth.
