IPA and Metro win bronze at Corporate Engagement Awards 2013
The IPA and Metro were recognised for their contribution on the Creative Pioneers Challenge and were awarded in the Best Combined Partnership category.
The Awards, which were held on Thursday 26th September 2013, cover sponsorship, partnerships and social responsibility and are seen as the best way for European organisations to be rewarded and recognised for their collaborative efforts.
The Creative Pioneers Challenge was launched by the IPA in conjunction with Metro, in 2012. A nationwide search for fresh talent and endorsed by the UK Government, it aims to award young digital natives and creative entrepreneurs with work opportunities at top UK media companies. From 2014 the Challenge will focus solely on apprenticeships with the aim to double the numbers year on year. In addition to the current regional hubs in Birmingham and Bristol, the team are taking the Challenge to Manchester next year.
Says Paul Bainsfair, Director General, IPA: “We are thrilled to win this award, which was the result of a lot of hard work and collaboration between the IPA and Metro. The challenge is a great way for young people to get a foot into the industry, and for agencies to find the brightest talent. Our partnership with Metro is a big reason for its success.”
