IPA publishes its 2008 Annual Review

In its Annual Review published today (22nd April 2009) outgoing IPA President, Moray MacLennan, Chief Executive M&C Saatchi Worldwide, outlines the progress made under his agenda to engage with the boardroom, the Government and the public.

Says MacLennan, “It is clear that 2009 is going to be a difficult year for the services sector. But if there is a bright side, it is that there is evidence that businesses are more aware of the bigger picture, of the need to ensure their health over the longer term through innovation and by maintaining or increasing their share of voice in their markets.”

The Review summarises the variety of initiatives undertaken to establish the ad industry, and IPA members in particular, as central to the success of brands, companies and the UK economy; from engaging with Government on the concept of ‘Creative Britain’ to publishing thought pieces on measuring marketing spend. It also usefully highlights the topline findings from IPA surveys, and lists the expanding number of IPA events, award schemes, training courses and publications.
