IPA rolls out award-winning professional development programme in New Zealand

The IPA has collaborated with its New Zealand counterpart, CAANZ, to deliver the IPA’s portfolio of award-winning courses and qualifications to agencies and clients in the New Zealand marketing and communications industry.

The partnership aims to raise the levels of professionalism amongst the industry in New Zealand, through globally recognised qualifications, that will provide a benchmark in best practice for the industry.

Two qualifications will be offered initially, The IPA Eff Test* and the IPA Commercial Certificate*. Since the launch of the IPA’s online qualifications, more than 12,000 people have achieved an IPA qualification in more than 60 countries.

CAANZ CEO, Paul Head says that the new alliance will give the local industry access to an international professional development offering that has not previously been available in NZ.

*IPA Eff Test

The Eff Test covers a range of subjects including definitions of effectiveness, evaluation and accountability, how it has developed over time and current debates around the topic. It is aimed at mid-level planners from all agency types and anyone interested in broadening their understanding of how to create award winning effective campaigns. It comprises of 30 hours of online learning, culminating in a 2 hour online exam. More information can be found here.

*IPA Commercial Certificate

The IPA Commercial Certificate gives future industry leaders an education in agency finance. The qualification covers a range of topics including KPI’s, fees and contracts. IT comprised of 8 hours of learning, culminating in a 30 minute online exam. More information can be found here.
