IPA TouchPoints team grows to meet the success of the landmark survey
Over its 10-year history, it has been an early identifier of some of the key trends which include the move to digital communication, the rise of media-meshing, and alongside that, the dispelling of myths such as the death of television.
Joining the team are Clare McNally-Luke and Dan Flynn, both of whom are deeply experienced in the research and media community. Clare’s career to date includes stints at both the BBC and Ofcom, and she joins in the role of Head of Research and Survey Management. Dan is joining from Kantar Media where he headed up their client relationships, and he joins in the role of Head of Marketing and Sales.
Together they come onboard to underpin the growth and innovation associated with TouchPoints, which shortly will publish its second round of passive data to reflect the more mobile-focused media consumer. Speaking on the appointments Lynne Robinson, Research Director, IPA said, ‘We are delighted to welcome Clare and Dan to the IPA TouchPoints team. Their experience and professionalism will be very much appreciated as TouchPoints continues to go from strength to strength where it is now published on an annual basis in the UK and a further 18 markets around the world.'
She went on to say ‘In particular we look forward to them helping us grow the awareness and relevance of TouchPoints across all sectors of the communications industry tasked with planning and evaluating cross-media, cross-platform and multi-device audiences.’
About Clare McNally-Luke
Clare began her career working for commercial radio in both research and marketing before moving to the BBC working with the Director of Radio on research and strategy and then developing the research and consultation functions for the newly created BBC Trust. Most recently Clare has been audience and research consultant for organisations including Ofcom, the BFI, the BBC as well as the IPA.
About Dan Flynn
Dan joins the IPA from Kantar Media’s Consumer Intelligence division working on Target Group Index (TGI) where he was Client Service Director.
In this role, he had responsibility for managing key client accounts across TGI’s European network of syndicated media and marketing studies. Having worked across all of TGI’s client types (agencies, media owners, advertisers), he became Client Service Director in 2009, representing all TGI initiatives in the UK, Ireland, and Western Europe. His role was a mix of client service and bringing new products to market.
Dan Flynn has worked in the media and marketing research industries for over 20 years in client facing roles at media owners, including the Sun newspaper, the LTA and a leading travel site.
