IPA welcomes Facebook commitment ‘to do better’ on harmful content
The current concern has focused on content that threatens or incites gender-based violence or hate. In addition to the moral imperative of addressing this content, the IPA welcomes Facebook’s appreciation, as expressed in a statement by them, that brands advertising on the network will not accept appearing - even inadvertently- in association with it.
The IPA takes online brand safety very seriously and is actively working with the ISBA to champion good practice amongst online suppliers across the entire online display ecosystem. We are also working with our industry partners, rights holder groups and the City of London police to address inadvertent advertising on copyright infringing websites.
