It’s time to celebrate outstanding media owners

Matt Simpson, Head of Digital, EMEA, Omnicom Media Group, has highlighted the important role of the IPA online Media Owner Awards (MOA) in helping to reward media owners who provide the best levels of service, and why he believes they have the potential to positively change the supply chain in the industry, in an article written for New Media Age.


Says Simpson: “The IPA’s Media Owner Survey has shown, over the space of just a few years, that acknowledgement of great service can help drive the whole industry towards greater achievement. MOA is the next logical step, which will recognise not only those who qualify for the survey but also other contributors who are setting the standard in our industry. This scheme can help us realise that there’s more to life than price alone, that the best results are always born from inclusive partnerships and that a carrot can be more powerful than a stick.”

The Media Owner Awards are now open for entries. Categories include: Best Commercial Director, Sales Newcomer, Unsung Hero and Unfeatured Media Owner, as well as Most Innovative and Effective Campaigns, Online and Cross-Media. The MOA will also reward eight category winners from the IPA’s autumn 2011 Media Owner Survey. The deadline for entries is 8th June.*
