The IPA has confirmed the appointment of Kim Knowlton as Broadcast Production Consultant following the retirement of the Director of Media Affairs, Geoff Russell.

28/05/2014

Kim has held positions as Head of TV of a major advertising agency, an executive producer at the COI and as a production company producer.

Her role as Broadcast Production Consultant at the IPA will consist of providing advice to IPA member agencies on all elements of broadcast production including but not limited to licensing; talent employment; overseas activity; insurance and technical matters. She will also chair, advise and assist the IPA Broadcast Production Policy Group (BPPG) and TV Admin Groups. In her role as the principal contact and liaison person between the BPPG/IPA and the industry’s related key trade bodies, unions, regulators and associated organisations, Kim will work with the BPPG group to facilitate progress.

Says Paul Bainsfair, Director General, IPA: “Kim brings with her a wealth of experience across the board, spanning a career of over thirty years. This experience gives her a broad perspective of the key production issues facing our industry today, and means that she is well placed to help and advise the membership. We are delighted to have Kim join the IPA.”
