Mark Bell, Experience Planning Director at Dare, has been appointed by the IPA as Co-Chairman of the IPA Digital Business Group. He succeeds Chris Thurling, Managing Director of 3Sixty, and will co-chair alongside Anil Pillai, CEO of LBi UK.
The IPA Digital Business Group consists of a broad range of digital design and build agencies. Its remit is to promote the introduction of new talent into the industry, define digital standards across different disciplines within digital, share knowledge among members of the IPA about digital issues, and to represent the agency perspective in the digital design and build arena.
Says Bell, "I'm delighted to be co-chairing the Digital Business Group and am looking forward to building on the great work already achieved in our first year. Within the group, we have a fantastic team of leaders and pioneers, with the experience and expertise to keep us at the forefront of the industry. With over 15 years’ industry experience and an education in information design, Mark has been responsible for leading the digital experiences of many blue-chip brands and online public services. During his career he has worked on an array of clients including: First Choice Holidays, Formula 1, The UK Police, Vodafone, Barclays, The AA, Premier Inn, ITV, Sony, Sony Ericsson and BMW.
Since joining Dare in 2005 Mark has built and now leads a highly respected and industry-leading 14-strong Experience Planning department which strategically defines the online customer experience and ensures it is a success. Central to this is Mark's integration of Behavioural Economics into Dare's work, ensuring that output is now reflective of the known principles of human behaviour.
