A record number of junior adlanders sat the IPA Foundation Certificate on Monday (25th February 2013). The
certificate involves the completion of an online learning programme, taking participants through the entire brand communications process. This is then followed by the offline examination, which took place today (25th February) in locations around the country.
Foundation Certificate now global
This year, the IPA has added an international element, with exams taking place across the world:
- On 18th April 2013, over 400 people will sit the exam in 30 countries across Europe.
- On 11th March 2013, exams will take place across the Middle East for JWT MENA, in Beirut, Dubai, Cairo, Tunisia, Riyadh, Jedah and Kuwait.
- Further exams will take place in May/June in Middle East and Asia for BBDO – dates and venues are TBC.
Says Patrick Mills, Director of Professional Development, IPA, “Since
junior agency practitioners first sat the exam in 2004, the Foundation
Certificate has become the benchmark qualification for new starters in
the advertising industry. This year sees record numbers yet again with
over 800 taking the exam in the UK, and in addition practitioners are
taking the exam across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This is a great
testament to the quality of the certificate and the fantastic grounding
it gives all new starters in the industry.”
