Record-breaking 1193 people sat 2016 IPA Foundation Certificate
The Foundation Certificate is the industry’s key entry-level qualification for anyone working in an agency, regardless of discipline, that provides them with the knowledge to perform their roles with confidence and expertise. It involves the completion of an online learning programme, taking participants through the entire brand communications process, followed by an offline exam. This year’s delegates will find out their results in May.
The qualification has been taken by delegates across the United Kingdom from London to Bournemouth, Manchester to Scotland and also Birmingham for the first time.
It will also be taken internationally with delegates signed up in Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, The Middle East and USA.
Says Patrick Mills, Director of Professional Development, IPA, “On 22nd February 1,193 new starters in the industry sat the IPA Foundation Certificate. They were predominantly from IPA member agencies, but also from industry bodies like D&AD and Clearcast, marketing executives from client companies and young creative nominees sponsored by Major Players through Creative Equals. It is fabulous to see numbers grow year on year again – clearly a reflection of the importance of this qualification in kick starting careers. I wish all of the candidates best of luck with their results.”
