Rob Hunter appointed IPA Professional Development Group co-chairman
The IPA’s Professional Development Group manages the development and planning of a broad range of training and professional development activities that aim to instil a culture of learning in member agencies as a platform for business success.
Says Hunter: “Effectiveness is in the DNA of Hunterlodge and CPD (Continuous Professional Development) is at the core of our business success as shown through our five consecutive CPD Gold Standard Awards and our Platinum Award. We believe highly trained people are more inspired, motivated and empowered to deliver the most effective work so I’m delighted to be part of the team that will help steer the industry.”
“We are also committed to moving effectiveness in advertising up the agenda both in agencies and within clients. Understanding the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and having clear objectives that are definable before, during and after the campaign is fundamental to ensuring a successful campaign and proving the value of advertising to the client.”
Says Patrick Mills, Director of Professional Development, IPA: “We’re delighted to welcome Rob as co-chairman of the Professional Development Group, Hunterlodge’s commitment to learning and development and excellence in CPD makes him an obvious choice to help champion the positive business effects of CPD.”
Rob Hunter’s bio:
Originally working within design and print, a strange choice for someone who is colour blind, Rob started Hunterlodge Advertising in 1987 from his lounge, having just turned 22. From an agency comprising only one other member of staff, who still works for them today, Rob has grown the company into a top 10 agency as rated by the IPA. Along the way, he has managed to find the time to sit a number of exams including becoming a Chartered Director and sits on the IPA Professional Development Group. He also ensures that the core values of the company - best people, creativity and excellence - are demonstrated through everything.
