Sophie Newton crowned best Search Superstar in IPA/Google competition

Sophie Newton, Director at Brainlabs, has been crowned winner of the IPA and Google’s new monthly competition to find the industry’s most creative, innovative and effective paid search practitioners across the agency and client landscape.

Each month a new Search Superstar will be announced and profiled in Campaign magazine. Read Sophie’s piece

Paul Mead, one of the competition judges and Chairman of the IPA Search Group and CEO, VCCP Media, explains why Sophie stood out:

“Sophie is a great example of the talent we are looking to celebrate with the Search Superstars programme. With a double first in mathematics from Oxford but with only two years’ experience of PPC, Sophie demonstrated how she is utilising her mathematical talent to address major challenges in the search channel. The judges were really impressed with the innovative strategies Sophie developed for her clients using advanced mathematical models to deliver exceptional results.

The Search Superstars programme is about celebrating talent from all backgrounds and at every level in the industry. We want to see evidence of creativity and innovation but we also want to share the many fascinating back stories of how people came into the industry to encourage new talent to embark on a career in search.”

The competition will re-open in November when you will be able to nominate yourself or a colleague at
