UK ad industry leads the AI debate with SXSW panel proposals

How do agencies make the most of AI? This is one of the biggest questions engulfing the advertising industry and one that several UK agencies are tackling in their proposed presentations for SXSW Interactive 2018; highlighting the UK industry’s position at the forefront of advertising tech.

The PanelPicker is a two-step online process that allows the SXSW community to have a significant voice in programming SXSW EDU, and SXSW conference activities. Public votes account for 30% of the total vote, with the SXSW Advisory Board making up 40% and SXSW staff the remaining 30%. Voting is open until Friday 25th August.

Nigel Gwilliam, Consultant Head of Media and Emerging Technology, IPA, said; “It is great to see so many UK panel proposals tackling the opportunities and potential pitfalls surrounding the use of AI in advertising. The IPA has made a commitment, through our new IPA President Sarah Golding’s Magic and the Machines agenda, to help all of our agencies make the most out of AI and how it can be used to make innovative ads for clients.”
