Last chance to nominate your Women of Tomorrow

The IPA and Campaign are looking to identify the top ten female industry leaders of the future through its Women of Tomorrow Competition, and the deadline is 5.30pm on Monday 27th January.

27/01/2014

These female industry leaders of the future should come from the middle echelons of management in either agencies, media owners or client companies, and from any of the following job roles: Creative, Strategic, Client services, Creative services, HR, New business, Media buying, Media planning, Media sales or Brand management. They should already be demonstrating leadership qualities, although it is unlikely they will already be board level (although exceptions would be made for smaller companies). Equally they will be significantly more experienced than graduate level.

To enter, applicants must submit a 500-word summary on how the individual:

•demonstrates leadership potential

•fulfils their role

•any other significant achievements

All entries need to be signed by the nominee and by senior management of the entrant company and must agree to the conditions of entry. The entry fee is £100+VAT for members and non-members and must be submitted alongside the entry. The deadline for entry is now 27th January 2014 and shortlisted entries will be interviewed by leading ‘Women of Today’. All interviews will take place at the IPA on Thursday 13th February (TBC). Candidates will need to be available on this date.

Says Ian Priest, IPA President and Founding Partner, VCCP: “A more diverse talent base is one part of my ADAPT agenda and so this career-enhancing competition is  an important step towards this. We are looking for women who will not just lead our industry in the future, but who will lead it by example; those that our industry will be able to learn from and look up to. To get there, these women will need to have the determination to succeed and the skills to make it happen and it is these qualities that this competition will seek to recognise and reward."

The ten winners will be announced at a breakfast ceremony at the IPA on 11th March 2014, the details of which will be published in Campaign magazine to coincide with International Women’s Day on 8th March 2014. For further enquiries and to enter visit www.ipa.co.uk/women, or contact rosie@ipa.co.uk or 0207 840 2217.
