Ali Bucknall, Founder, Ali Bucknall Planning and Research
Ali is an independent strategic consultant working with clients and agencies to help provide clear and actionable solutions to brand and communications problems.
Ali has extensive advertising and communications experience in agencies big and small, local and international including CDP, WCRS, D’Arcy, Leo Burnett and Elvis – the latter two as Executive Planning Director. She’s worked across most business sectors and some of the world’s most famous brands, including P&G (global responsibility for Always), Orange (development and launch of the brand), McDonald’s, Fiat and the British Government (NHS and Police, Crime and Benefit fraud prevention) to name but a few.
She’s won 4 APG awards and has contributed to many winning effectiveness papers, most recently co-authoring a double IPA Gold in 2014. She was a judge for the 2011 IPA Effectiveness awards, has been both a first and second stage judge for the European Effectiveness Awards (2007 and 2015), and was the International Judge for the 2015 New Zealand Effies. She’s chaired various training courses on strategy and effectiveness fundamentals on behalf of the IPA and has coached individuals and companies in all major effectiveness and strategy awards.
