Tony Regan, Consultant
Tony is a strategic communications planner with a diverse background in agencies. Since 2013 he has been writing and consulting for a variety of advertisers, agencies, research providers and media owners.
As a pioneering communications strategist Tony has helped to build some of the most innovative agencies in the advertising and media disciplines over the past 20 years – including HHCL, Michaelides & Bednash and PHD. He was Chief Strategy Officer at Initiative Media in London before leaving to set up in consultancy. He is a champion of consumer insight and communications integration, whose agency experience bridges the disciplines of creative, media, research and digital; and a wide variety of clients across diverse sectors.
He has been a convenor of the Media Circle Planning Course, Treasurer of the APG, and awards judge for the APG, Media Week and Campaign. In 2014 he gained a Distinction in the Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Institute of Direct & Digital Marketing.
He has authored and won an IPA Effectiveness Award, was a Module Editor of the IPA’s Excellence Diploma, a Member of the IPA’s Behavioural Economics Task Force and a member of the Industry Judging Panel of the 2014 Effectiveness Awards. In 2008 he was elected a Fellow of the IPA.
