EASE is the first search engine on the web to combine free-text searching with data provided directly from the IPA Databank. This data is input by agencies themselves when submitting their Case Studies to the IPA Effectiveness competitions.

EASE is easy to use and Help is available at all times.

To get you started, in the Search Wizard box to the left you can either just enter a word or phrase where it says “Enter your search term(s) here.” EASE will then search through all cases on the system – including the PDFs of the studies themselves – and return your results on the right-hand side of the screen.

Or you can make your selections from any of the 23 fields available. There is no limit to the selections or combinations you can make but remember that each new field you choose will narrow your search and you’ll get fewer results each time.

We’ve also provided some useful shortcuts for searches to start you off.

You can also combine word searching at the top with selections you wish to make from the fields below.

So, for example, if you were interested in campaigns for financial brands where changing emotions was key, simply click on the + next to the ‘Marketing communications model’ field and select ‘Emotions’

and then type the word ‘financial’ in the top search box.

EASE will then display your search results. If the results aren’t exactly what you were looking for, you can then change your field selection and/or put in different words or phrases to search on.

Downloading and buying case studies is very easy. Just click on any case study title and you will be taken to that download page.

IPA member agencies can download twelve case studies for free in each calendar year; thereafter they pay £25.00 per case study. Non-members pay £40.00 per case study and students get a discounted rate of just £10.00 per download. All payments are made online, via the IPA's shopping cart, using credit card payments. The case study or studies are available to you for viewing or downloading immediately after you have paid.

Because of this differential pricing it will be necessary (if you haven't already done so) for you to register your details on this website, which is very easy and takes about two minutes to complete.
